Baby Brain Development

Everyone want to know how to stimulate baby brain development. We all know that the brains of babies grow and mature fast. While it is important to understand how your baby's brain grows, it is more important to understand that you, as the parent have a very huge role to play in the development of your baby's brain. Baby brain development begins right after conception. Soon after birth, the size of the baby's brain is about one quarter of the weight and size of an adult brain. First Months Are ImportantFor those who wonder why the head of the baby grows so fast during the first month finally have an answer. The head is growing to make room for the brain to grow. This means that there is an incredible amount of baby brain development taking place. Within the first month of a child's life a baby can go from only being able to focus on object about eight to fifteen inches away to finally being able to focus on object up to three feet away. Since there is so much going on in the brain of a baby it is important to do as much as you can in order to help your baby’s brain grow. Even though it may seem that your baby cannot understand you, everything goes in. Your baby is just being a quiet observer, but is absorbing everything! Sarah SaysI was always surprised when my son suddenly copied me, or remembered something, or clearly knew what he wanted. And later, I was amazed at how much he understood what I was saying. Even though he couldn’t talk, yet, he would respond with clear understanding. Babies are amazing!
| How To Stimulate Your Baby DevelopmentThe best thing you can do is to talk to your baby, show her things, give her things to play with, and read to her. This all affects baby brain development.
Remember, babies learn through play. Let them explore and experiment. Just watch them so they don’t get hurt. Help your baby learn to track the motion of an object, by slowly waving it in front of her. Talk or read to your baby, you are exposing him or her to sounds, signs and symbols, which helps a lot for learning and brain development. Another way to promote healthy brain development is to show your baby various colors. Exposing the baby to as many colors as possible will help get the brain to develop. Adding nouns to the color names will help teach your baby the name of objects, even if most people think it is too early for the baby to pick up on such things. Little everyday novelties are what the brain of a baby responds to above and beyond anything else. So pointing out all of the colors, people, animals, cars, texture, and the temperature of things is how baby brain development will move faster. Studies have shown that babies with more interaction from adults will perform much better on various tasks and abilities and will do much better in school overall. Babies also need this interaction of love and affection. In many ways this is more important than learning skills for school. To learn to be loved, and feel secure are so important!
